Just look at how exquisite these cuts are. Dramatic is an understatement!
There are always modifications and improvements to be made… Right now I’m reworking the clasps for my Twisted Pearls Series.
When asked to donate one of my pieces to help a good cause, I seldom can resist! So I went to my inventory of supplies and looked for inspiration. Since it is summer time, the beautiful blue of the Apatite beads caused my excitement to mount, and I wanted to create a piece that would be delightful with a sun dress. I added three high luster baroque pearls – keeping it simple but with a bit of intrigue.
Voila – the finished piece donated for auction:
I build a piece, creating it in it’s most perfect form. But then it happens!!!!
Alas, as the frenzy of excitement mounted, and the pieces were adorning the necks of many lovely ladies, sometimes a piece is dropped. The damage didn’t show until close examination later. So the search for a perfect replacement stone began!
Now in the hands of a master gemstone carver, Bill Gangi, a new orange drusy is being cut.
Stay tuned to see the rebirth of the Mystic Moonstone.
